A few words about the International Criminal Court:

The International Criminal Court (ICC), governed by the Rome Statute, is the first permanent international criminal court created by treaty to help end impunity for the perpetrators of the most serious crimes of concern to the international community.

The ICC is an independent international organisation, which is not part of the United Nations system. It is based in The Hague, the Netherlands. Although its expenses are mainly funded by contributions from States Parties, the Court also receives voluntary contributions from governments, international organisations, individuals, corporations and other entities.
