Background & Expertise
Managing Partner and founder of AFIVAL in 2008, Philippe advises on financial due diligence and valuation in various contexts (development capital, turnarounds and LBOs in particular). He is regularly called upon by the courts for legal appraisals or as a 1592 or 1843-4 expert under the French Civil Code. He is also specialized in advising parties in the pre-litigation or litigation phases (state courts or arbitration). In addition, he is involved in statutory auditing, contributions and mergers.
He previously had ten years of experience with a major player in auditing and legal expertise in France.
Graduate of the HEC Executive MBA, DESS Applied Taxation, Diploma in Accounting (specialized skill recognized by the Ordre des Experts Comptables: Valuation), Statutory Auditor, Certificate in Financial Valuation at SciencePo Paris/SFEV, Certificate in Valuation (NYU Stern School of Business).
Philippe Campos is registered on several lists of experts used by state courts:
– Expert at the Court of Appeal of Paris
– Expert at the Administrative Courts of Appeal of Paris and Versailles
The specialties of registration are as follows:
– Section D.2 – business and social rights assessment
– Section D.3.1. – corporate finance.
Philippe Campos is also a Financial Expert before the International Criminal Court.
Arbitrator approved by the CMAP (Centre de Médiation et d’Arbitrage de Paris, a CCIP center). Member of the French Arbitration Association (AFA).
Philippe can thus act as an arbitrator or co-arbitrator, or as a third party expert in a contentious arbitration procedure.
Registered with the Order of Chartered Accountants, member of the Statutory auditor association in France (CNCC). Member of the French Society of Evaluators (SFEV) and of several companies of legal experts (in particular the company of Finance and Diagnostic Specialists and the company of Legal Accountants). Member of the French Association in favor of the Consular Institution (AFFIC).
Lecturer in the field of business valuation at University (Master Accounting, Control, Audit).
He occasionally acts as a lecturer on various issues (adjustment of the acquisition price, risk premium in valuation, etc.) within various organizations (HEC, CRA/CLENAM, National Company of Judicial Experts in Finance and Diagnosis, etc.).
